As COVID (including the Omicron variance) is drawing to a close (fingers crossed), people are starting to think more and more about getting out and enjoying life again. Physically going out, that is. While it was fun initially — staying in and cooking, learning new recipes, and mostly ordering in (thank goodness for the venders who worked through all of this), it’s time to come out of hibernation and enjoy getting back out there. With that said, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. What a great time to get out and celebrate with your loved one or your family. So, with Valentine’s Day coming soon (Monday February 14th), here are our top five favorite restaurants:

A bit of history about Valentine’s Day, also called Saint Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine which is celebrated annually on February 14th. It originated as a Christian feast day honoring early Christian martyrs. The Feast of Saint Valentine was established by a Pope way back around A.D. 270 to be celebrated on February 14th in honor of Saint Valentine of Rome who died on that day. Fast forward to the 14th and 15th centuries, it became a more romantic day of love developed by the troubadours of Southern France and widely noted in European literature. Then, by the 18th century in England, it grew into an occasion where couples expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, candies, and sending greeting cards known as Valentine’s Day messages. So, you see Valentine’s Day has become a substantial day of commercial celebration of romance and love throughout the world. What a lovely, romantic day!
This Valentine’s Day will be a great day to reflect about our family and loved ones whom everyone has missed seeing over the past couple of years. Send those cards and make those reservations. Enjoy!
